01. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the BookingPress website and the BookingPress WordPress plugin (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Repute Infosystems (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

If you install BookingPress on your own website, you act as the data controller for your customers’ booking data; we provide the software that processes it on your server. This policy covers the information we handle directly through our website, accounts and license system.

02. Information we collect

We collect information you provide and information generated automatically when you use the Service:

  • Account & purchase data — name, email address, billing details and license keys when you buy or register.
  • Support & communications — messages, attachments and details you share when you contact us or request help.
  • Website usage — pages visited, referring URLs, approximate location, browser and device information, collected via cookies and analytics.
  • Plugin diagnostics — if you opt in, non-sensitive environment data (e.g. WordPress and PHP versions) that helps us improve compatibility.

03. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain and improve the Service and deliver license updates;
  • Process payments, renewals and refunds;
  • Respond to your support requests and communicate important notices;
  • Send product updates and marketing where you have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time);
  • Detect, prevent and address security issues, fraud or abuse;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

04. Cookies & tracking technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to measure traffic and improve content. We do not sell your personal information.

05. Payment processing

Payments for BookingPress licenses are handled by trusted third-party payment processors. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. The processor’s handling of your payment data is governed by its own privacy policy, in addition to ours.

06. How we share information

We share personal information only as needed to run the Service, and never sell it. Categories of recipients include:

  • Service providers — payment processors, hosting, email delivery and analytics, acting on our instructions;
  • Legal & safety — where required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users and the public;
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

07. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account or license is active, and thereafter only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described here, resolve disputes, and comply with legal, tax and accounting requirements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

08. Data security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work continually to safeguard your data.

09. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. These include rights under the GDPR (EEA/UK) and CCPA/CPRA (California).

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@bookingpressplugin.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. International data transfers

We operate globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including India and other locations where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Changes & how to contact us

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
